laluddin Ghanvi, an Iranian researcher of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, was able to produce a bio-artificial trachea for the first time in the world using tissue engineering. After 12 years of continuous research, a female patient was cured by using her own cells to resolve tracheal narrowing. The Iranian researcher of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences noted: We used the epitrial method in this transplant and after obtaining the first complete human-made organ, we placed it in the patient's trachea using the tissue engineering method.
